From Covid Relief to the proposed Infrastructure plan, all of these are major changes that pivots away from where the Democrats are really couple of decades ago. So why are the Democrats not afraid to go big, to spend big? During the Democrat primary, Andrew Yang is the only guy that talks about giving 1K every month to every qualified American. Back then the question is why will Andrew ever do that, and where will he get the money to pay for those monthly economic stimulus. But then Covid happened, and this changes everything. President Biden’s Covid Relief bill that passed through reconciliation without any single Republican votes apparently is popular with everyone, in both sides of the Political spectrum. People needs help. Plain and simple. President Biden understood that he’s standing at a transformative point in time, where his actions will be felt generations from now. Of course the Republicans are afraid of the big words, Big Government, but basically if it’s big government that delivers the needed cash everyday so you and everyone can pay the rent, and electric every month, then that’s ok. There’s also a growing voice among the Democrats, young voices from Millenials to Generation Z, they tend to be more aggressively liberal on major Democratic issues, and when it comes to spending bills, they don’t really ask how it’s gonna be paid for, even if decades from now, it’s their generation who will have to live to that reality, the question on their mind is, when are we gonna get the next relief, we need more vaccines so everyone’s safe. The point is, the Democrats are changing the mindset and definition of Big Government, if it works to deliver the services and needed help, then it’s functional and it’s ok, the other thing to, the Democrat voters wants Big corporations to pay their fair share, and this is exactly not the talking point of the other party. Sometimes, you begin to wonder why.
