It’s Kamala Time

Following Biden's announcement of his withdrawal from the race yesterday, Vice President Kamala Harris has stepped in and accepted President Biden's endorsement. She aims to win and secure the Democratic nomination fairly. But does Kamala have a shot at the White House?

Here's the thing: top Democrats, grassroots supporters, major Democratic donors, progressive media, and influential figures are now rallying around her. This is a positive sign, as it indicates that Kamala has substantial support from the Democratic faction. Her task now is to leverage Biden's endorsement to win over key Democratic voters who are still hesitant about a Kamala presidency. She must also make her case to Independents and swing Republicans, explaining why she is the better choice against Trump.

Selecting a vice presidential candidate who can win the Rust Belt and swing states is crucial. She needs someone who can go head-to-head with JD Vance, contrasting their policies and politics, and articulating why Kamala can unite the country, foster prosperity, and protect democracy. While Kamala may be from the Biden era, she is not Biden—she's Kamala. And that distinction matters.
