If there’s someone in the Senate that should be raising his voice like there’s no tomorrow, it should be Sen Sanders. Fans and supporters of the Senator are kinda disappointed because it took him some time to really express his views and stand on what’s going on in Israel right now. During the Primary when he was competing with Hillary for the Democrats nominations, he criticized Hillary by not mentioning Palestine and the rights of the Palestinian people. Fast forward to today, his supporters feels like he should be raising the bar and call for an immediate ceasefire to save civilians lives and give Israel and Hamas the room to negotiate particularly on the exchange of hostages. Sanders instead on his latest X post reminded everyone of the $3.8 Billion that the US spends on Israel year after year. Although he mentioned the end to the death toll on civilian lives but he associate this on the fact that the US is financing Israel’s operation year after year. The Senator will change things if he calls for a ceasefire, of which he really should.
