UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres issued a strong statement on what’s going on at Gaza right now, “The intensifying conflict is shaking the world, rattling the region and, most tragically, destroying so many innocent lives.” says UN’s Guterres. Also, Cindy McCain head of the United Nations World Food Program that’s facilitating the delivery of much needed UN reliefs for the residents of Gaza and West Bank said that the flow of supplies from Egypt are on the right track, “We appreciate all efforts to facilitate a steady flow of humanitarian supplies through its border with Gaza, and the work of the Egyptian Red Crescent is remarkable. We need to continue to work together to get safe and sustained access to Gaza at a scale that aligns with the catastrophic conditions facing families there.” The UN World Food Program is scaling up to reach a million Gaza residents in the next weeks or so to provide the life saving reliefs.
