The world watches in suspense as tragedy hits the Dizmar Protected Area on the Eastern Azerbaijan region of Iran. Following hours of intense rescue and operations amidst the challenging weather, the first responders particularly the Iranian Red Crescent had reached the site of crash and the organization’s President confirmed that there’s no sign of life at the crash site. Photos of the severely damaged helicopter showed up initially on social media, particularly at Telegram possibly from the first responders. It took sometime for mainstream media to catch up meanwhile, the state media of Iran had also released photos from the crash site. Iran had not yet officially issued a statement.
