FRANCE: 300m on ai

French President Emmanuel Macron announced that his government will invest more than 300 Million Euro on AI infrastructures and systems that covers key regions in France as part of his France 2030 platform. The regions covered by the AI investments are Toulouse, Nice, Grenoble, Lorraine/Strasbourg, Ile-de-France, and Rennes. The investments are geared for universities and AI organizations and companies for research, testings, improvements and creating a modern AI systems and infrastructures for France to compete strategically in the ever emerging global AI fields where the US are also gearing all their resources for more AI investments.
