Foreign Aid Passes

The foreign aid package bill passed the House earlier this afternoon with a vote of 311 in favor to 112 opposing the combined bills that includes foreign aid to Ukraine to the amount of 61 Billion, to Israel 26 Billion and another 8 Billion to Taiwan and Indo Pacific allies. The Tiktok ban was included in the foreign aid ban, and if the Senate clears everything, that means the Tiktok ban will officially be headed towards Biden’s desk. It is not clear though if Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene will continue with her motion to vacate and oust Speaker Johnson following the successful Foreign Aid Bill after Johnson’s contentious fight with his caucus who’s torn between supporting Israel and Ukraine and halting foreign aid. The separate Border Bill did not passed the House. It is not known yet on whether the Senate will take up the Border Bill, tweak it so it can again go back to the House or the Border Bill will be the fight for another day.
