As the campaign enters its final two weeks and tensions rise on both sides, Marc Anthony, the "King of Latin Hits," endorses Kamala Harris with a subtle yet powerful critique of Donald Trump. In his video, Marc Anthony addresses key points that Kamala has struggled to fully capitalize on when it comes to mobilizing the Hispanic vote. He connects Trump's mishandling of Hurricane Maria relief for Puerto Rico, emphasizing Trump's view of Puerto Ricans as "poor and dirty," and reminding viewers of the infamous moment when Trump threw paper towels at hurricane victims.
Marc Anthony also brings up immigration reform, an area where Kamala has been less assertive. He speaks from the heart, drawing attention to Trump’s policy of family separation at the border and the use of military force to tear migrant children from their parents. In contrast, Kamala's focus on a strong border and tackling the fentanyl crisis really did not hit the heart because it failed short when it comes to the humanitarian factor behind the Immigration crisis. However Marc’s video reminds Hispanic voters of the broader issue of family unity and compassion, which should be considered along side a stronger border and fairer asylum system.

Though one might argue Kamala hasn’t made concrete promises on comprehensive immigration reform, Marc Anthony emphasizes that Trump’s plans for immigrants are clear and harsh. Which brings us back to the past, there was a time when Chicago Congressman Luis Gutierrez’s shared his observation during the time when Obama seeks his endorsement for his second term in office, while he had many disagreements with Obama on immigration, at least Gutierrez said you could engage with Obama on the issue. Technically that’s what, Marc suggested and implied, Kamala might not be a perfect candidate for you that checks all your needed check marks but—she is someone you can argue with and someone who will fight for all, striving to win for everyone.
